I'd never read any of Carl Hiaasen's books before, but after reading the reviews here, I got curious and bought "Double Whammy" and "Sick Puppy". After just finishing the first one last night, I can't wait to get into the second one and will definitely be back for more! This kind of hilariously twisted, "dark" writing is right up my alley. Plus I like the way he worked in ecological issues without any preachiness whatsoever...but still getting it said. And SKINK! What a great character!!! I loved every bit of "Double Whammy" and plan on ordering all the other of his books I don't have yet. "Good stuff" doesn't even begin to describe what I thought of it!\n
